The Payroll Administator is responsible for managing the semi-monthly payroll process.


The Payroll Administrator is responsible for the all payroll functions including but not limited to the following:


Coordinating timesheet collection with employees and program managers

Auditing timesheets for completeness and accuracy

Insuring that responsible supervisors approve timesheets in a timely fashion

Processing labor distribution, leave accrual, and payroll calculation in Costpoint.

Generating output files such as EFT files, processing reports, manual check requests and so forth.

In coordination with HR, ensures that new hires and terminations are properly input.

In coordination with HR, ensures that leave is accruing at the correct rate.

In coordination with HR, ensures that employee deductions are properly input and deducted at the correct rates/amounts.

Executes legal garnishment orders and in coordination with A/P insures that they are paid on a timely basis.

Processes all payroll tax payments and filings in a timely manner, including 941s, 940s, W-2s, and various state filing requirements.

Coordinates with various state tax agencies in response to any inquiries.

In coordination with HR and program managers, ensures that various pay cycles are correctly maintained.




A minimum of ten years experience in payroll reporting in a government contracting environment.

Associates degree or equivalent work experience.

Prior expeirence with Costpoint, Deltek Time & Expense, and basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
